Prospecting is a Numbers Game
At its core network marketing is no different than any other type of marketing... you need to expose your
products/services to a lot of people every day to make it work

One of the central themes in the Dream Team Prospecting class is that network marketing, like any other kind of marketing,
requires you to expose your products to a lot of people. If you fail to do this...you will fail.
But let's not be confused with what often passes as marketing instruction throughout the network marketing industry.
This doesn't mean that you should indiscriminately speak to everybody within 3 feet of you...a technique known as the 3 foot
rule. Nor does it mean that you should open up your local phone book and start calling alphabetically. (Believe me, some
people have done that...brutal!)
What this means is that you look to expose everybody within your target market.(Go here for a discussion on target marketing). The Dream Team shows each student how to
do this using the telephone, the internet and by writing compelling ad copy.
Controversy
There are many network marketing gurus out there who believe that you can't build a network marketing empire by using the
phone. They believe that prospecting must be done "belly to belly". They argue that network marketing is a
"relationship building" business and that the telephone is too impersonal for one to build a meaninful relationship.
The Dream Team position on this is that relationships are great and if you can build enough by going belly to belly then go
for it. However, for most people, this just will not give them enough exposure to their target market.
Most network marketers simply will never meet with enough people in their day to day lives who fall into their target market
to make enough sales and bring in enough recruits to make their business highly profitable.
We know this to be true because we know that most network marketers are using the warm market/belly to belly approach and
they're failing at a rate of about 98%
If you want to keep getting what you always gotten keep doing what you've always
done
If you've been in network marketing for even a few minutes I'm sure you've heard this or something similar. Even though
it's an overused expression it is right on the money when it comes to network marketing.
You really have a choice to make. I've spoken with hundreds of network marketers who were desperate to change the aweful
results they were getting in their business using the typical network marketing techniques we've looked at here.
Yet, despite, this, many are reluctant to take the road less traveled. They seem resigned to stay
aboard a sinking ship.
If you're in this situation right now I've got to ask you...are you resigned to using techniques that haven't worked for you
